Comments:
The NOAA team spent two days in extermely difficult weather conditions, 20degF, 40 kt winds, installing this station, the first in the Urban Atmospheric Observatory network. The Environmental Measurements Laboratory (EML) building is the site for the UAO First Intensive Study (IO01). It is a pilot study and demonstration exercise.

Data from the UAO station NYC002 are now available on the UAO public (anonymous user) ftp site, ftp.uao.bnl.gov. There are daily files of 15 minute averaged data from the NOAA sensors on the EML building in NY. This station is described on the UAO web site, www.uao.bnl.gov. In addition, the NYC002.last file contains the most recent data in a single comma separated record. The file layout of these files and units are described in the associated document file, NYC002.readme.

Maintenance:
System failed on 2003-04-07 (approx). Repairs were made on about 2003-05-06.
